Florida Process Server Requirements

Under Florida Statute 48.27, certified process servers must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have no felony convictions
• Complete an approved training course
• Pass a background check
• Post a $5,000 surety bond
• Be certified by the Chief Judge of the circuit
